The Superbowl in Detroit?!  Can they actually pull it off?  The answer is YES!   They put on a huge festival in downtown called Winter Blast - they had tents set up with bands, drinks, food from restaurants all throughout Detroit.  It was really cool. I was impressed with the great job they did with the city - it actually felt like a real city with all the people out and about in downtown - despite how crappy the weather was too!  Jill and I went along with her brother, Jeff and his wife, Nicole.  We had a great time!
