I threw a surprise party for my mom's 50th birthday this year.  Even though her actual birthday is in a couple weeks (7/11), we thought that we'd throw her a party a few weeks early.  It was a good time!  We rented out a room at Sajo's restaurant for the party.  We had about 37 relatives attend her bday dinner!
