The Blizzard of 2005 hit on the night of January 22, 2005.  I've never seen anything like it before.  Snow was falling at the rate of 2-3 inches per hour.  It started at around 5pm on that Saturday evening, and finished by the noon the next day.  Wind gusts were 60-80mph, creating drifts of snow between 5 and 7 feet in places.  When the storm finished up, we ended up with 34 inches of snow.  Two days later, we had another winter storm that dumped an additional 10 inches on us.  This made the Boston record books as the most snow EVER to fall in Boston.  Check out the pics - it's amazing!
